Bulk email validator
Paste a list or upload a CSV file. Every address gets a live mailbox check, and you can download the results as CSV.
How to clean an email list
- Export the list from your email tool or CRM as CSV.
- Validate a few addresses here, or submit lists of up to 100,000 addresses to the bulk email verification API.
- Remove invalid and disposable (Do not mail) addresses.
- Segment catch-all and role addresses and send to them carefully.
- Repeat every few months: addresses go bad over time as people change jobs and providers close inactive accounts.
How the tool reads your file
You don’t need to prepare the file. The tool finds email addresses anywhere in the text, whatever the column is called, so exports from Excel, Mailchimp, HubSpot or your CRM work as they are. It reads the first 2 MB of the file, removes duplicates (ignoring upper and lower case) and checks the first 50 addresses. If you want to filter a long text or export by domain before you check it, extract addresses first.
Results in the CSV
The download has one row per address with these columns:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
email | The address as checked |
status | The result the tool shows: valid, invalid, catch_all, risky (a full mailbox), do_not_mail (a disposable address) or unknown |
sub_status | Why, in detail, for example mailbox_ or greylisted; empty for a plain valid address |
recommended_ | send, send_, suppress or retry_later |
state | The API’s state: deliverable, undeliverable or unknown |
reason | Why, for example invalid_mailbox or low_ |
score | Quality score from 0 (bad) to 1 (good) |
format_valid, mx_found, smtp_check | The syntax, MX record and mailbox checks |
catch_all | Empty in the free tool; a catch-all domain shows in status |
disposable, role, free | Throwaway inbox, shared inbox like info@, free webmail provider |
did_you_mean | A suggested correction for a likely domain typo |
Lists over 50 addresses
With a free account you get 100 validations a month and two ways to check a whole file:
- Upload it in the dashboard, then filter the results and export the clean rows.
- Send it to the bulk email verification API: up to 100,000 addresses or a 25 MB CSV or TXT file per job. Duplicates and malformed rows are free, addresses left
unknownare refunded when the job completes (within a fair-use allowance), and the results come back as JSON or as your original CSV with 18 result columns added.
Large lists take time, because the checks are spread out per receiving mail server: a big list can take a day or longer. The API can call your webhook when the job is done.
