How credits work

Each task uses a different number of credits from your monthly volume:

email validation: 1 credit
email search: 10 credits
LinkedIn email search: 10 credits

Only definitive results (deliverable or undeliverable) use a credit. Unknown results, when a mail server greylists the check, times out or blocks it, are free for single checks and refunded for bulk lists, within a fair-use allowance of up to 30% of your plan's monthly checks.

Prices from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked November 4, 2026. Truelist’s price per 1,000 credits falls with volume ($1.40 up to 10,000, $1.10 up to 50,000, $0.90 up to 250,000, $0.70 up to 1,000,000). A dash means the vendor sells no pack of that size. The credits of Truelist, MyEmailVerifier, Reoon and MillionVerifier don’t expire; ours are valid for 12 months.

Where we are not the cheapest: free checks. Our free plan includes 100 checks a month; QuickEmailVerification gives 100 a day and Reoon 20 a day. And between our plan sizes, a daily plan whose credits expire each day, such as Reoon’s, can cost less than our next plan up. At 10,000 a month, Reoon’s daily plan ($9 a month for 500 checks a day) costs about the same as our Small plan ($8.99 for 10,000) and includes more checks, if you use them every day.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 100 credits every month at up to 10 requests per minute, with no credit card. It includes the email validator, the email finder, the LinkedIn email finder and bulk processing. Catch-all detection (catch_all=1) starts on the Small plan. Credit packs work on the free plan too.

What are the free plan limits?

100 credits every month and up to 10 requests per minute, with 1 API key and no credit card. An email validation uses 1 credit, so 100 credits cover 100 validations or 10 email searches. The 10 requests are a per-minute rate limit, not a cap of 100 requests in total.

Is the free plan limited to 10 concurrent requests?

No. The free plan’s limit is 10 requests per minute, and paid plans have no per-minute limit. Separately, single checks (GET /v1/info) run up to 5 at a time on the free plan and up to 25 at a time on paid plans.

What are the plan names?

Free ($0, 100 credits a month), Small ($8.99 a month for 10,000 credits), Medium ($23.99 for 25,000), Pro ($44.99 for 50,000), Large ($84.99 for 100,000), XL ($149 for 250,000), XXL ($199 for 500,000) and Business ($279 a month for 1,000,000 credits). There is no plan called Starter. For more than 1,000,000 checks a month, ask for a custom plan.

What is a credit?

Each task uses credits from your monthly volume: an email validation uses 1 credit, an email search 10 credits and a LinkedIn email search 10 credits.

Which results use a credit?

Only definitive results: deliverable or undeliverable. Unknown results, when a mail server greylists the check, times out or blocks it, are free for single checks and refunded for bulk lists when the job completes, within a fair-use allowance of up to 30% of your plan’s monthly checks a month. In a bulk list, duplicates and rows that are not email addresses cost nothing.

How much does it cost to validate one email address?

On monthly billing between $0.96 per 1,000 checks (Medium) and $0.28 per 1,000 (Business); Small costs $0.90 per 1,000 and Large $0.85. With yearly billing it goes down to $0.23 per 1,000 on Business. Credit packs cost from $1.29 per 1,000 (1,000 credits) down to $0.33 per 1,000 (1,000,000 credits). The free plan includes 100 credits a month at no cost.

What are credit packs?

Credits you pay for once, without a subscription: from 1,000 for $1.29 to 1,000,000 for $329. They are valid for 12 months from purchase and work for single checks (GET /v1/info) and bulk lists (POST /v1/bulk). Create a free account and buy them on the Subscription page of your dashboard.

Do credit packs expire?

Yes. Pack credits are valid for 12 months from the day you buy them; credits left after that expire.

What happens when my plan’s monthly credits run out?

A credit pack you bought is used first. Then, on every paid plan, optional overage keeps checks running: turn it on on your Billing page and set a monthly spending cap, and checks past your credits cost from $0.42 per 1,000 credits on Business to $1.30 on Small, Medium, Pro and Large, until the cap is reached (every plan’s rate is in the cost table above). Overage is off until you turn it on; without it or a pack, the API answers with HTTP 429 until your credits renew at the start of the next billing month.

What happens when I have a plan and a credit pack?

Your plan’s monthly checks are used first. When they run out, further checks use the pack’s credits instead of stopping at your monthly quota. Plan checks you don’t use reset at the start of the next billing month; pack credits stay until they expire 12 months after purchase. It works the same way on the free plan.

Is emailvalidation.io the cheapest email validation API?

For paid volume, yes, as of November 4, 2026: at 25,000, 50,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000 and 1,000,000 checks a month our plans cost less than every other email verification service we checked. For example, 1,000,000 checks cost $279 a month on Business, against $299 a month at MyEmailVerifier, $479 at Bouncify and $449 for a one-off 1,000,000 at MillionVerifier. Not for free checks: QuickEmailVerification gives 100 free checks a day and Reoon 20 a day, against our 100 a month. The tables above list every price with its source.

Is yearly billing cheaper?

Yes. With yearly billing you pay for ten months and get two months free.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.

Are taxes included?

No. All prices exclude VAT.

Is emailvalidation.io GDPR compliant?

We process your data in line with the GDPR. emailvalidation.io is run by Everapi GmbH, an Austrian company, and the API runs on our own servers in Germany. Our Trust Center lists the security measures in place, where your data is kept and every sub-processor.

What if no plan fits?

For volume that comes and goes, add a credit pack to any plan or turn on optional overage on a paid plan. Custom plans are available for more than 1,000,000 checks a month: contact our support team with your volume and requirements.
